Tracy Shaw was one of the first
lawyers certified as a civil trial specialist by the Tennessee
Commission on Continuing Legal Education and Specialization.
He has tried civil lawsuits since his affiliation with the firm in
1982, and is board certified in civil trial advocacy by the National
Board of Trial Advocacy. He also is listed by the Supreme
Court of Tennessee's Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission as a
Rule 31 general civil mediator.
Mr. Shaw has been recognized for his
work as a mediator in Best Lawyers in America, and by inclusion in
Nashville Business Journal's "Best of the Bar" publications. He has
lectured on mediation techniques for the Nashville Bar Association and
other organizations, and is licensed to practice both in Tennessee and
California. He has served on the board of the Nashville Bar
Association and is a Fellow of the Tennessee Bar Foundation. He
earned his law degree from Pepperdine University in 1979, and is a
1975 graduate of the University of North Carolina. Before affiliating
with the firm, he was a law clerk for Judge Jerry Scott of the
Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals. |
